Sample Preparation
01 Specimen Collection Container
1) Oral epithelial cell collection kit
02 Sampling Method
1) Use the swab from the kit to rub inside the cheeks at least 20 times to collect a sample.
03 Storage Temperature and Period
1) Stored at room temperature, to be received within a week.
04 Sample Amount
1) At least 1 vial.
2) If quality control standards are not met after DNA extraction, it will be deemed to be a non-conforming sample. Thus, it is necessary to obtain a sufficient amount of oral epithelial cells while taking the necessary precautions during sample collection.
3) May increase/decrease the required amount depending on gene and mutation characteristics.
05 Precautions
1) Do not touch by hand the cotton swab used for sampling or allow it to come into contact with any other surfaces, etc.
2) The examinee should refrain from brushing his/her teeth, chewing gum, consuming food and beverages, or smoking from 30 minutes before sample collection.
